Frequently asked questions

Questions about document review

We complete the review within 2–5 business days of receiving all documents. If any documents are missing, we tell you what is needed; the period starts when we receive them.
Send the documents you have relating to the dispute. Payslips and payment records are relevant to wage disputes; dismissal documents are important in dismissal disputes. If you are unsure what to provide, we will discuss this during our conversation.
No. The review, preparation of an application and representation at a hearing are separate services. After receiving the review conclusion, you decide which to commission.
Yes. We assess whether you are entitled to late-payment charges on overdue payments or statutory penalties for delayed final settlement after employment ends, and calculate their amounts.
Send what you have and identify any missing documents. Their absence does not in itself prevent you from applying to DGK. We will discuss which additional evidence is needed and how it can be obtained.
Yes. We provide a written conclusion and discuss and explain it and our recommendation by telephone. If you have further questions after our conversation, we will answer them.
If the review shows grounds for an application and you do not wish to pay further upfront fees for its preparation and representation at the hearing, we can offer an alternative: you pay only €100 for the review, and 30% of the amount awarded for preparation of the application and representation. We agree the terms before you commission the services.
The general deadline for applying to DGK is 3 months from when you became aware, or should have become aware, of the infringement of your rights. For disputes concerning unlawful dismissal, suspension from work or a breach of a collective agreement, the deadline is 1 month. These are calendar months, not automatically 90 or 30 days, so do not delay. If the deadline has already passed, we assess the possibility of restoring it individually.
