Why a professionally prepared application is useful

The application sets out your claims to the Labour Disputes Commission. It must be submitted within the statutory deadline, so do not delay.

We set out the claims precisely and support them with documents

The application must clearly set out your claims, calculations and available evidence. We help prepare these so that the Commission can understand the circumstances and grounds of your claims.

We assess which amounts you can claim

We assess which employment-related amounts you can claim, including late-payment charges or statutory penalties where there are grounds to apply them. We support the claims and calculations with case documents.

Prepared by a legal professional familiar with DGK proceedings

We substantiate the claims with employment law and the evidence in the case so that the application is clear and well-founded.

Preparation for the hearing starts with the application

If you also commission representation at the hearing, we will already be familiar with the case documents and your claims.

How the work proceeds

How we prepare the application

  1. Document review

First, you commission a document review. If the review shows that the claims are justified, we begin preparing the application.

  2. Preparation and approval of the application

We prepare the application, substantiate the claims with legal provisions and available evidence, and agree it with you before submission.

  3. Submission to DGK

We arrange signing, prepare the necessary representation documents and submit the application and attachments to DGK.

Questions about preparing an application

We agree the specific preparation and submission timescale after assessing the application deadline, case circumstances and available documents. If the deadline is approaching, contact us by telephone.
Yes, this is the first step. The review shows which claims are justified and what amounts may be claimed. The document review costs €100. Each stage is commissioned separately.
It is often called a “complaint” in everyday language, but the document is an application for the examination of a labour dispute. That is what we prepare.
Send the documents you have relating to the dispute. Payslips and payment records are relevant to wage disputes; dismissal documents are important in dismissal disputes. If you are unsure what to provide, we will discuss this during our conversation.
Yes. Submission of the application and its attachments to DGK is included in the service fee.
No. Representation at a hearing is a separate service: €200 plus 10% of the amount awarded.
€100.
If the review shows grounds for an application and you do not wish to pay further upfront fees for its preparation and representation at the hearing, we can offer an alternative: you pay only €100 for the review, and 30% of the amount awarded for preparation of the application and representation. We agree the terms before you commission the services.
The general deadline for applying to DGK is 3 months from when you became aware, or should have become aware, of the infringement of your rights. For disputes concerning unlawful dismissal, suspension from work or a breach of a collective agreement, the deadline is 1 month. These are calendar months, not automatically 90 or 30 days, so do not delay. If the deadline has already passed, we assess the possibility of restoring it individually.
